Antonio Guerra

The work of Antonio Guerra (Zamora, 1983) is based on an interdisciplinary approach to photography in order to reflect upon construction interventions on contemporary landscape and its transformation processes. He usually offers different views on natural environment and its imaginary, interpreting landscape as an ideological construction while making a statement on the conservation of nature and the traces of human activity. The artist has presented solo exhibitions at DA2, Centro Niemeyer, Sala Amárica in Vitoria and Centro Leonés. He has also been included in numerous group shows, such as the “Biennial of Mediterranean Artists” (Ancona and Thessaloniki), “Encontros Da Imagem” in Braga (Portugal), “Breda Photo” (Holland), the Spanish Embassy in Havana (Cuba) or the Cervantes Institute in Madrid. Antonio Guerra has received grants from MUSAC in León, Casa Velázquez, Pilar Juncosa & Sothebys (Joan Miró Foundation), Fundación Villalar, Comunidad de Madrid, VEGAP, AlNorte and EFTI, among others.
