Kela Coto (Gijón, 1979) is a photographer and video artist whose work revolves around the construction of the contemporary landscape, reflecting on concepts such as reality and its representation, the construction of the landscape, the invisible as a photographable materiality and experience as a knowable tool. Her work is based on the poetic capacity of the image, being mainly interested in analysing the intimate relationships between reality as a living space and reality as a concept. After several workshops with international artists, she was resident at Casa Velázquez (2014) and at Laboral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, in 2021. Her Solo Project Órbita received the CCAI Prize (2020) and her first Solo Exhibition in Madrid (Point of view. How to Build the Territory) was presented with Puxagallery, as part of the XXV PhotoEspaña Festival, between May and July 2022.
