The work of Silvia Lerín (Valencia, 1975) includes paintings and installations created through folds, cuts and overlaps of the matter giving form to compositions where the formal and the conceptual coexist. In this creative process she usually combines fabrics, metals, assemblages and objects, mixing elements that treasure a great wealth of textures and yearn to convey ideas inspired by personal experiences. Graduated in Fine Arts at Polytechnic University of Valencia, she lives and works between London, Indianapolis and her hometown. In the last ten years she has held important exhibitions in public and private venues in Spain, Germany, United States and England obtaining, among others, the Annex Collection Award (UK) and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (USA). In 2021 she did a solo exhibition at Puxagallery.
